The first task for my 3rd Period darlings!

You get to watch some You Tube Videos and respond personally in your Writer's Notebook. (Write out a response even if you don't have an official Writer's Notebook yet, and transfer the writing into your Writer's Notebook as soon as you get one.)

The first two videos we watched in class already.  Use these for reference and to add to the response you started in class.

Now on to the new stuff!

Watch this video--make sure you have the volume up enough to hear Maya Angelou's voice.  What images do you recognize?  What is this poem about?  What impact does the music and images make on your understanding of the poem? What is the person that created the video trying to convey to you? How does this video relate to the two previous videos? (Write at least a paragraph response.)

Here is the next video that you need to watch.  What images do you recognize?  Write at least a paragraph to respond to this song--What is the singer and the person who created the video trying to convey to you?  How is this video like the very first video? How is it connected to all of the other videos?

Make sure to bring your written responses to class!

Again, you will not be able to view these you tube videos on a school computer.  To open the videos on a school computer, use these files and open them in real player or in Media Player.
